Sri Bistari Famous Nasi Ayam Penyet, Changi Village

Known as the new Nasi king of Changi Village,
Nasi Ayam Penyet is a traditional kampong staple originating from Indonesia.

Nasi Ayam Penyet literally means flatten chicken rice.

Although still unknown to many,
Nasi Ayam Penyet is fast becoming Singaporean's new favorite dish.
It is batter-less fried chicken on rice with a killer sambal chilli sauce and a pretty cherry tomato salad served on a traditional wooden platter.

A $3.50 portion comes with a fried quartered chicken, done Indonesian style with spices and no batter, a plate of chicken flavored rice, a fat dollop of sambal, chicken soup,
a lettuce-cucumber and cherry tomato salad served on a thick wooden platter.

The Chicken Rice, kinda sticky texture. Not bad.
